To be certified as an Applied Animal Behaviorist by the Animal Behavior Society
(www.animalbehavior.org/), behavior specialists must have at least a Master's degree, Ph.D., or D.V.M. They must have at
least 5 years' experience and demonstrate scholarship in the field of animal behavior. They must provide written examples
of animal behavior case management for at least six months, including follow-up and outcome.
Using an ABS certified behaviorist means that you will receive the best
possible help.We have extensive scientific training in animal behavior, Operant Conditioning, and Classical Conditioning.
We understand the factors that affect your animal's behavior.
Certified animal behaviorists have the education, training, &
practical experience to: - Custom-tailor a behavior modification plan to your pet's or companion animal's
individual needs.
- Develop workable, successful enrichment and welfare programs.
- Provide educational seminars,
staff training, and workshops.
- Assist in facility design for shelters, laboratories, boarding and daycare facilities.
We take as much time as is needed to ensure that you know how to proceed, any potential pitfalls, and
the reasons for the programs we design. We have the highest rate of success in helping the companion animal or pet overcome
behavior problems, and in enhancing animal wellbeing in animal faciities of all kinds: from the smallest shelter to the largest
industrial setting.
