Happy Animals Through Active Collaboration

For Veterinarians
At CAPS, we work closely with clients' veterinarians to ensure that the pet or companion animal receives the optimum care.

Client Referrals:

We believe in looking at the animal holistically.  As a first step, we strongly urge clients to visit their veterinarians, to ensure that any unknown medical problems are discovered and addressed.

Each plan is tailored to the specific needs of the pet or companion animal and owner.  We strive to design the best behavior modification plan. With the client's permission, we will often discuss the case with you. This is especially true if a pet might benefit from behavior-modifying medication. Coordinating programs with you in this way helps the cilent receive the best possible care.   To accomplish this we:
  • Take a complete medical, behavioral, and environmental history;
  • Capture the troublesome behavior through mild "challenges;"
  • Develop a workable plan that incorporates the client's lifestyle and abilities (a plan doesn't work if they can't follow it).
