The Jewish and Christian Exodus: The

Out"
Start of a Brand New Semester !!!
The stone carved image of Rameses stands as a testimony
to one of the greatest pharaohs of Egypt - but was HE the pharaoh of
the Exodus as many scholars have previously believed?
Goal :
In a formal
essay, students will
demonstrate an understanding of the Exodus by presenting and defending
its historicity citing biblical and extra biblical evidence
The following assignments will help us accomplish

11. Read
Understanding the Scriptures, chptr 7 "The Exodus" pp.
128-145
Come in with any questions you have on the reading (I may have a
few for you).
Answer questions (1-23) on a separate sheet of paper. Answer in
complete sentences for full credit

12. Know the vocabulary
on pg. 146 of your text book and the Exodus Geography notes from
class. Finish outlining Exodus 1-5 in your notebook on the
notes' page from last class

13. Type
a one page, double-spaced essay contrasting "The Prince of Egypt" with
the "Moses of the Bible" Due: ACEG

14. Type
up your notes from the last class "Internal Evidence for the Exodus"
and include a your summary of the notes at the bottom (one
paragraph). The goal of this assignment is to pull your
notes together and demonstrate your understanding of the material.

15. Type up
a one -two paged essay on the External Evidence for the Exodus from
Egypt. (Double spaced) Incorporate material from your notes
on "Who Was Moses" documentary, lecture and the God Evidence handout distributed in
class. The goal of this assignment is to help pull your
notes together and demonstrate your understanding of the
"Extra Biblical"(evidence that exists outside the Bible) for the
Hebrew Exodus from Egypt.

16. Review
the 13 Tribes of Israel for a quiz,

notes on Jabal al Lawz; evidence for Mt Sinai (If you
