Ashleigh Powers is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She studies political psychology and is particularly interested in the way that people exchange information and learn from each other about politics.  Ashleigh also teaches State and Local Politics for the University.

In September 2003, Ashleigh married Preston Powers.  She has one sister, Staci, who lives in Texas.
