We are located in Glen Rose,Texas. Deep sandy soil, blue-green carpets of coastal and good
horses prevail here. Both of us are originally from central Illinois having moved to Texas in the early '80's. Garry has his
Masters degree from Tarleton State University; a member of the Texas A&M system. Megan also graduated from Tarleton
as well earning her Bachelors degree in Animal Science.
We dont like to rush young horses. We dont believe in "wet saddle blankets", a set program
or that horses should be forced into performing in a fashion they dont enjoy. First and foremost, the animals well-being is
considered here.
When a client approaches us, we want to know their goals and objectives and then evaluate the
horses potential over a three month trial. At that point we believe it is essential to re-evaluate the horses progress and
the direction of training. If we feel a horse is not suited to either of our personalities or the owners area of interest,
the horse is re-evaluated immediately to avoid unnecessary cost.
We appreciate client participation. Our preference is an actively showing owner enjoying the
experience while their horse is succeeding in the show ring. The area of largest achievement is with young breeding stock,
usually stallions, through the NCHA Futurity and into the show pen.
We are fortunate to have avoided the chronic lameness syndrome seen with other trainers. Never
has a horse in our care needed injections to their joints, or had any strain related injury. In fact, our horses look forward
to the interaction and interplay found in training. It is strongly believed here that horses are far more intellegent and
"feeling" than humans give them credit for.
Each horse is an individual with its own likes and dislikes. Every horse can succeed to a given
level in the show arena. Our greatest reward is seeing the exuberance in an owner. We invite you to bring your horse in for
an evaluation and success in the show ring.
Come win with us!
