OUR WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIERS

When we came over from England to the hot, dry Arizona climate, my mother missed the lush green country side of England and, of course, the Westies. She set out to purchase a Westie and to her dismay she was unable to find one. It took many years of searching to finally find Happy. About 21 years ago we began our own search for a quality Westie and it took us 2 years to find Crystal. We decided at that time to raise a few litters of our own to allow other people to know the joy of owning a Westie. We continue to raise only a few litters a year. They are raised in our home with lots of love, care, affection and are very well socialized.

We sell our puppies on a spay/neuter contract with a health and genetic guarantee.
We have a waiting list, contact us if you are willing to wait for a puppy, sometimes as long as 3 months.

Why purchase a Westie registered with the AKC? You have probably noticed a lot of new "registries" popping up recently with no inspections or DNA testing. Many people refer to the registration papers as a "piece of paper". The AKC's "piece of paper" shows an on site inspection of the breeding facilities and taking DNA swabs to verify parentage. The AKC's mission includes programs dedicated to preserving the health and promoting the well-being of dogs everywhere. This "piece of paper" is very important in choosing your new Westie.

OLNEYS SIR BRYTHAN, "Brian"

Brian is our senior sire now, producing excellent puppies. His puppies have his kind temperament, intelligence, and "no small amount of self esteem." His favorite toy is a blue monkey which he brings in to show off every time someone visits.
His pedigree includes Ch Sno-Bilt's Eliminator, Ch Mac-Ken-Char's Irish Navigator, Ch Pickwick Seargent Pepper, Ch Merryhart Grandstander, Ch Bel-west Amazing Grace and Ch Olac Moonbonus.

OLNEYS COVER GIRL, "Sassy"

Sassy loved to run up to us, flip onto her back and slide to a stop at our feet for a belly rub. She is the dam of our current breeding dog, Olneys Sir Brythan, "Brian", (above).
Sassy's pedigree includes Ch Pickwick Seargent Pepper, Ch Pickwick Bearcloud, Ch Covintree's Sandy Hill, Ch Merryhart Grandstander, Ch Bel-West Amazing Grace and Ch Olac Moonbonus.
Sassy is now retired and living in Sun City.

OLNEYS SCOTTISH NAVIGATOR, "Scotty"

Scotty is the most loving, kind Westie. He puts that wonderful temperament on his puppies. He is now retired and is always sneaking out back to the cow's paddock looking for fresh cow pies to roll in.
His pedigree includes Ch Sno-Bilt's Eliminator, Ch Mac-Ken-Char's Irish Navigator, Ch Sno-Bilt's Ritzie of Nato and Ch Mac-Ken-Char's Bel-West Molly

OLNEYS LADY MARGARET, "Maggie"

Maggie loves to show off by giving everyone a big smile (which she passes on to her puppies). She has the quiet, sweet temperament we breed for.
Maggie's pedigree includes Ch Acreages Silver Streak, Ch Backmuir Upbeat, Ch Famecheck Trojan, Ch Westcote Highlock and Ch Wishing Well's High Tide.
Maggie now lives in her retirement home with her son Angus and owner Hannelore.

Sugar is the Alpha girl and is very proud of it. Her babies are her pride and joy. Her babies make wonderful family members. Olneys Crystal Stardust, "Crystal"

Crystal was our first Westie. She was everything a Westie is supposed to be. She was loyal, cheerful, very intelligent, strong willed and loved just about everyone. Her favorite toy from the time she was a puppy, was an empty tuna fish can. She would run around the house with her face in the can, pushing and barking. When we could stand the noise no longer, and put her outside, she would float the can like a boat in the dogs play pool. She would then sink it, and go completely underwater to retrieve it. When she tired of playing submarine, she would carefully carry the can full of water over to a sleeping or unsuspecting Westie and pour the water on them. We really miss her.
Her pedigree includes CH Rannoch-Dune Dandy-Lion, CH White Oaks Pucky's Lucky Charm, CH Monsieur Aus Der Flerlage, CH Klintilloch Monroe and CH Famecheck Brutus. Almost all of our Westies have Crystal on their pedigrees.

Olneys Ermine Flurry, "Flurry"

Flurry was our second Westie. Flurry adopted our daughter, Michelle, from the first moment she came home. She spent her whole life caring for Michelle, protecting her and sleeping with her. All her puppies have her wonderful temperament. She is missed.

We lost one of our Westies, Olneys Pard N' Me Boys, "Laverne" to a Colorado River Toad. We were putting the Westies to bed and Laverne was not in and did not come in when we called her. I went outside and found her barely breathing, but it was too late. Please watch out for the toads. They usually stay under the ground until the monsoon season then come out at night to breed.
