Bill Wight's Food and Recipe Page Late Updated: July 7, 2002

INFORMATION

Over the past several years, I have searched for and collected recipes from all over the Internet for all kinds of foods.  Many of the recipes I collected were from old bulletin boards and early on-line services like Prodigy.  These recipes had a lot of problems during all the postings and repostings and so I went through all the collections available here for downloading and edited and corrected each--yeah, it was a lot of work! Many people have asked me, "Have you tried all of these recipes?" No, I have not.  If I tried three new recipes every day, it would take me 45 years to try them all.  So go through the collections that interest you and try a few.

Recipe Format

All the recipes available here are in compressed format to make download times shorter.  I used WinZip for the compression and you will need a copy of WinZip to uncompress the recipe files.  The recipes within the cookbooks you can download are in MasterCook Export format (filename.mxp).  The *.mxp files, when decompressed, are ready to import into any version of the MasterCook recipe management program.  The *.mxp files are ASCII plain text and can be read by any word processor or text editor.

Click here to get a trail copy of WinZip, for more information on the recipe format or help.
