CTCI International Convention

Since the CTCI International Convention will be held in Portland, Oregon, July 28 - August 3, 2008, we're including the convention as part of the 48 in 08 Tour. Portland is less than 50 miles from Salem, the capital of Oregon. Anyone starting from the SW can join us in Sacramento, CA, and stop in Carson City, NV, and Salem, OR, on the way to Portland.

Attending the convention adds a week to the tour and additional lodging/food expense. Anyone not interested in attending the convention can meet us early in the morning in Portland on August 3, 2008.

The pre-registration form for the 2008 CTCI International Convention can be downloaded from the Rose City Thunderbirds' website at http://www.rosecitythunderbirds.com.

Car Signs

Signs on our Thunderbirds will help promote the tour and let passers by know where we're driving our classic cars.

Do you have an idea of what type of signs we should put on our Thunderbirds for this tour? Magnet? Decals? Graphics?

The list of T-birders interested in joining the 48 in 08 Tour is getting longer. Some are interested in doing the entire tour and others want to do a portion of the tour. The current list of T-birds includes 5 from California, 5 from Texas, 1 from Oregon, and 1 from Colorado. Plus, several CTCI chapters are interested in joining the tour for a day or two while we are in their area.

It would be great to have a few sponsors to help defray expenses. We will add a special section to this website just for our sponsors. If they have a website, we'll include a link to their site so our visitors can easily visit their site. If the sponsors provide signs, we'll put them on our cars as we travel throughout the lower 48 States.
