New Information
In January, the Registration Form and Caravan Guidelines were added to this website.
A Registration Form was developed to assist the trip coordinators stay organized and have contact
information for all participants. If you plan to participate in part or all of the 48 in 08 tour, please complete and return
the Registration Form as soon as possible.
A Registration Form will be required of all participants prior to joining the 48 in 08 tour.
Please read the Caravan Guidelines. If you have suggestions to improve caravan procedures, we'd appreciate
hearing from you.
Both documents are available on The Tour and Links sections of this website.
Options

As with the entire tour, participants have options. If there is something along the way they want
to see, or friends they want to see, they can leave the tour caravan and do whatever. All we ask is to be notified when they
will leave the caravan and when they will return to the caravan.
Some options available include a day to seightsee in Boston, attend the Birds in the Dells in
Wisconsin, and tour Texas Hill Country.
Map Updated
The Route Map on this website was updated on December 28, 2007 by our map-maker, Doc, to reflect
changes in the Schedule over the last couple of months.

Birds in the Dells

The Birds in the Dells XXXV Registration Form is now available!
The Birds in the Dells is a fun event for all Thunderbirds and is hosted annually by various
T-Bird clubs in the Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa area. This year the event is hosted by the Southern Wisconsin
Classic Thunderbird Club (SWCTC) and will be held at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton, Wisconsin, August 22-24, 2008.
The "48 in 08" tour participants plan to stay at the Madison Marriott West on August 22 and
23. The 48 in 08 T-Birds will also have oil changes on August 23.

Car Signs

As mentioned in our first newsletter, back in the Sept-Oct 2007 issue, we wanted to put signage
on our cars for the 48 in 08 tour. The artwork is now available for participants interested in having signs made for
their classic T-Birds.
If you are interested, contact Lucy at 48in08@earthlink.net and she'll send the artwork. Take it to your local sign maker, such as FastSigns. You can have either
magnetic signs or decals made. Since FastSigns' locations are franchised, the pricing will vary.
Specifications:
Decals: 3M film, have them laminated and the corners rounded; they should last for at least
5 years and can be removed without damaging your T-Bird's paint. Once removed, they cannot be reapplied. Size: 14 inches high
by 22 inches wide.
Magnetic signs: 30 mil material which should adhere to your T-Bird up to 100 MPH. Have
the corners rounded. Be sure your car and the magnetic sign are clean before placing on your T-Bird. Size: 14 inches high
by 22 inches wide.
