Not everyone wants to get involved in the same way.
There are several ways you can be involved.

Participate

This is an opportunity to see all of the lower 48 States – in a classic Thunderbird! And have the company of fellow T-Birders. It will be something fun to do during retirement or on an extended vacation.

Options are available: (1) Drive the entire tour or (2) Drive a portion of the tour.

The entire tour is scheduled for 2008. We plan to start on July 24 in Sacramento, CA, and finish September 22 in Phoenix, AZ. The tour will start in the West, cross the Northern States to the East Coast, down the Eastern seaboard, and then turn West through the Southern States. Attending the CTCI International Convention in Portland, OR, July 28 - August 3, 2008, is included as part of the tour. We estimate it will take 60 days and cover approximately 14,000 miles for the entire tour.

If you don't have time for the entire tour, join us for part of the tour - when and where it fits your schedule. Perhaps a few car clubs would like to join us for a weekend when we're in their area.

Sign up today by sending an e-mail to 48in08@earthlink.net and sending a completed Registration Form.

Take your T-Bird to your local mechanic for a thorough check up to be sure it is road worthy. If you haven’t done it already, consider adding disc brakes, new tires, air conditioning, an AM/FM radio/CD player, and anything else to add to your comfort while driving your Thunderbird.

Register

Contact Doc or Lucy at 48in08@earthlink.net if you are interested in participating in the 48 in 08 tour. There is no registration fee, however, you will have to pay your own expenses.
