APPLE ACTIVITY IDEAS
* Apple bobbing or hanging apples from a tree challenges kids to try to get a bite with their hands behind their backs.
* Buy various types of apples. Cut them up and make a chart of which kind is most popular. Do the kids like the kind they
thought they liked?
* Teacher stores carry apple cut-outs which can be used for making name tags, games, cards, pictures, or more.
* Older students may like to go outside and sketch a real apple tree.
* Look for a "pick your own apples" place near your home.
* Older students can have a contest to see who can cut the longest swirl of peel off an apple.
* Do you have a food dryer? This is a great time of year to dig it out and make dried apple slices for use throughout
the year.
* Ask the students to brainstorm more apple ideas!
