PLAY DOUGH RECIPES FOR "KIDS" OF ALL AGES!

Frosting Play Dough
(YUM! - Edible if you start with clean hands!)

1 can frosting (any flavor)
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter

Mix together until dough reaches desired consistency

Storage: When not using, MUST be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated. Next time you want to use it, let it come to room temperature for pliable dough. Don't eat it if it starts to look or smell funny :-). Stores for maybe 3 days at most.

Smooth Peanut Butter Play Dough

2 cups smooth peanut butter
2 cups dried milk
2 cups rolled oats
2/3 cups honey

WASH HANDS WELL.
Mix all ingredients until thoroughly combined.

Storage: When not using, MUST be stored in an airtight container.

Cream Cheese Play Dough

Do your kids like to eat their art supplies while you are trying to teach them to expand their creative skills? If so, you'll all like this project!

Ingredients:

* 8 oz. package of cream cheese
* 1 tablespoon honey
* 1/2 cup non-fat dry milk
* crackers or bread slices (used later)

WASH HANDS WELL.

Combine cream cheese, milk and honey in a bowl and mix until well blended. That's it!

Mold sculptures on wax paper! Flatten and cut into shapes if you want to place them on crackers or bread slices to eat. Option: These can be decorated with edibles (celery, carrot slivers, raisins, dried fruit, nuts, or seeds for a healthy snack!

Storage: Unused portions MUST BE STORED in an airtight container and kept refrigerated! Because cream cheese is perishable, use the expiration date on the cream cheese package as your guide for how long you can keep this play dough.

Jell-O Play Dough

This is an unusual one! Parents of younger kids will need to help with the cooking.

* 1 cup flour
* 1/2 cup salt
* 2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
* 1 (3-1/2 oz.) package "unsweetened" Jell-O mix (color and taste of your choice)
* 1 cup water
* 1 tablespoon oil

WASH HANDS WELL.
Mix all ingredients together and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until consistency of mashed potatoes.

Let cool and knead with floured hands until dry.
MAKE STUFF!

Storage: This recipe needs to cool completely "before" storing it in an airtight container! Probably won't last long. Maybe a day or two?

Note: The items made from this play dough recipe can be painted when they are dry.

Crazy Play "Recipes" For Little Kids of all Ages...

(Don't eat this stuff... although it might try to eat YOU! (joking, joking)

HOW TO MAKE GOOP

* 1 cup white glue
* Food coloring, your choice of color (optional: coloring can stain!)(green is especially disgusting! Yay!)
* 1 cup liquid starch (laundry type)

Pour glue and coloring in plastic container.
Stir until color is *thoroughly* mixed in.
Add the starch a little at a time, stirring with a spoon or kneading with your fingers (icky, yucky- the kids love it!) as mixture thickens.
Keep stirring until mixture holds together like putty.
Test the consistency with your fingers. If it feels too sticky, add more liquid starch in small amounts until mass is smooth and rubbery.

Gooey Fun for All!!
