A beautiful voice from Canada charmed the auidence and a comidian keep their attention. Dance Time? ( Aquarios ) Sunday .. 05: Start 12 noon Is the time to get the parade lined up. The parade departs at 1 pm up 7th street via Park, C, Washington, and Telephone to the back gate of St Margarte Mary Church and through the parking lot to the church. Lunch was served about 3 pm and again after the band returned at 4:30 pm. Festa starts 12:30 pm at the Portuguese American Hall. Starts off with the parade of queen & the princesses at hall, to place crowns on the alter. Sopas at 1 pm and throughout the afternoon at regular intervals. Refreshments, games, & freshly made Portuguese pastry available while waiting for traditional soupas meal. Wonderful pieces of Sao Jorge cheese, wine & other items auctioned throughout the afternoon. The raffle drawing held at the close about 5 pm. Live music provided by the East Valley High School Music Department. Don't forget to make a generous donation for the food served, and buy lots of raffle tickets. Directions: From Redlands, go East on Colton Ave. to Crafton Ave. Left on Crafton, about 50 yards. Bring lawn chairs & your shade covers. Limited outside seating with nice breeze. |
