This is Italian cotton velvet, with tie on sleeves

I already had patterns I'd used for William's shirt and doublet, but the Houppelande was a whole new thing for me.  I started with a picture and instructions from The Medieval Tailor's Assistant and winged it from there.  Overall, it turned out ok.  It was my first time using real fur, but William gave me some pointers and it sure did make it look rich!
