What is the SCA and why do we do this?

The SCA is the Society for Creative Anachronism.  It's a very large group of people who get together and reenact life in the middle ages.  We learn about history and research how they lived.  For more information, check out our links!

We belong to the Shire of Heraldshill, which is based in Mason City, IA, and is part of the Kingdom of Calontir.  We participate in as many events as we can.   Antonia keeps busy learning embroidery, weaving, sewing, and cooking.  Her first experience at Feastocratting was at St. Augustine's Faire in 2004; and she recieved a standing ovation for the feast she cooked for St. Augustine's Faire in 2006.  Her most recent challenge was a wedding feast the end of September.  You can check out the menus on the Feast pages!
