Stallions:
Mamin Iskitpe Apache, Stallion 1998 Black Tested at UC Davis
homozygous black.
Sire: Apache Kid Galahad (Apache Polar Star x Ima Sunray Too)
Dam: Chubs Birdsong (Chubs Powderface
x Money Creeks Wyanna)
Registered ApHC, FAHR, Qualified Colorado Ranger Bred, Sundance
Apache has been our foundation stallion.
His name means Appaloosa Horse on the Trail Apache for our ranch name, Appy Trails Ranch. He is Frank Scripter breeding, top and bottom, one that would be culled from the leopard program, but this
homozygous black stallion has strong leopard pattern genes. We have found, when
crossed with Black based mares, we get a high percentage solid black foals, but with snowcap/fewspots, we get loud color. Apache has exceptional foundation confirmation.
We have had foundation breeders from around the world that have seen him and met him.
Every one wants to add his lines to their program, via a breeding or a foal by him.
He is our shoer’s favorite stallion, because he is so calm and quiet, trimming can be done without any halter
or lead. He has never worn shoes, he has rock hard black feet. Apache was ranch trained. He is quiet under saddle,
and has the Indian shuffle that he passes to his get. His foals are being used
under every disciple around the world. His blood lines have been added to breeding
programs from the west coast of France
to the Nez Perce Horse Registry (his son is a go forward foundation stallion for the tribal breeding program).

Geldings:
Tipyalana Siskan, Gelding 1996 Bay
Sire: Red Eagle Hy Bear (Damon
x Hy Johnie)
Dam: Imnaha Fortune (Snowridge
Sequoia x Ginger Sue)
Registration with ApHC, FAHR. Can
be registered ICAA, IPAA, Oregon Bred
Siskan has done it all: He has
been shown in open shows, taking may champion and Reserve champion placings, he has been Paraded, and he has a very nice prance
that is very showy, but has been used to lead younger horses in the parades, he has been on hundreds of trail rides, covering
several thousands of miles including the Chief Joseph Trail Ride several times. He
is sure footed, intelligent and fun to ride. He is expert at finding the path
home, only once could he not find the trail, after a heavy snowfall. He has been
my go everywhere, do everything horse. He can go for hours, he has a shuffle
gait that covers the miles at a trot. He would be outstanding for Competitive
Trail or Endurance. He is
compact, with perfect confirmation, a beautiful head and loads of color. He could
possibly be registered with POA as well, he is just 14.2hands. I need to start
working with some others horses more and I am not using Siskan so I have decided to part with him. He was used one season for 4H and would be excellent for an Intermediate to Junior level rider. He needs more than a novice.

Cocoa is the
anyone can ride horse that we use for guests. She was originally purchased for
our older son who no longer rides. She is husband/kid safe trail horse. She does
not like to lead, she prefers the back of the pack but she will go anywhere and do anything. She has been in the mountains,
beach, snow, crosses water with no hesitation, bridges. She is rock solid as
a trail horse. She would be an outstanding 4H horse. She has produced several foals for us that all have her cutting/herding sense. She is the classic foundation Toby bred appaloosa, that will go anywhere, do anything and you know that
she will be safe. Open for 2009

was a tank, huge foal and the song Honky Tonk Bedonkadonk was on the radio. She
has a Bedonkadonk. She has been FPD (80%) and is showing some signs of roaning,
but this solid young mare is registered as a non characteristic. She is
powerful. She has a calm disposition and a soft eye. Her coat is a golden tone in the sunlight. She has the Goer
head from her sire and has outstanding conformation. This mare could be used
for anything. She is willing and intelligent.

EB (Energizer Bunny) as we know her is a drop dead beautiful young mare with
a soft eye and amazingly placid personality. She has always been outgoing, soft
and gentle. She has potential for English or Western riding, has a petite Goer
head and she turns the heads that see her. She has a glow to her bay coat, a
true red bay, with a full mane and tail. She has shown some white hairs that
may roan further, but she is considered a solid. She will be a tall mare,
likely 15.2 or better at maturity. She has the bloodlines to the great foundation
lines of Red Eagle and Storm Cloud F, the champion halter show lines of Goer/GoJak and the reining champion granddam, Love
Me Easy back to the racing great, Easy Jet. This young mare has it all
and can go anywhere. She will be a great kids horse but will need training, as
she has only ground work done. She could be kept as part of our breeding program,
but we are not looking at doing any more breeding, so she is available to the right home at a great price. We would love to see her go to a show home. FPD 80%

Gali is a beautiful young mare, a golden glow to her bay coat with a double

is just amazed at the calm personality and has taken to calling her gelding Mitakola which means best friend. Her other full sibling has been winning in ranch competitions
in Oregon and is working with her owner to achieve Parelli
Level 3 certification. Gali has everything going for her in her personality,
pedigree and intelligence. She is a quiet mare that has an understanding mind and she is powerful in her confirmation. She has been worked with on the ground and has attended a number of shows. She is ready to be added to someone’s breeding program that has
a snowcap/few spot stallion or as a 4H project. She will make an excellent
ranch horse and western pleasure show horse.

Glory has been a wonderful brood mare for us.
She has not been ridden by us, but was broke to ride by the previous owner. She
love attention, loves to be groomed. She is easy to work with, but not the easiest
to catch in the pasture. She clearly had some head issues as a foal, but
we have worked thought those. She has been great with her foals, producing several
for us. Her first, Mamin Glory Rising, has been added to the Nez Perce
Horse Registry breeding program to bring back the foundation appaloosa lines to the Akahl-Teke cross mares. She produces 100% color, and crossed with Mamin Iskitpe Apache, has produced loud color. Her markings have carried forward as well, with the upside down V on both front above
the Coronet. Open for 2009. She is available as part of a foundation
breeding program starter package ($8,250) with Mamin Iskitpe Apache and Eagles MoonMist Onyx.
$2,500 (if outside the package) Congratulations Molly Farkas
who will have a 2010 foal by Apache with Glory.

Anni was special from birth, born late, she arrived to celebrate the 50th
wedding anniversary of her owners parents and she was named to recognize the occasion.
Anni has been shown both in the ApHC circuit and open shows, achieving a top 10 status for FPD (97%) mares as a yearling,
she has been lead on multiple trail rides and has been lead in several parades to ensure her future as a parade mount (to
accept the commotion and noise including sirens and bands) and she has been green broke to saddle. She is a stout mare, just under 15 hands with a good round butt.
She has great confirmation and has all the attributes sought by the original breeding by the Nez Perce; calm quiet
disposition, endurance, speed and agility. Anni has the unusual blood spots
as well as the bearpaw marking on her shoulder. She is a gorgeous young mare
that is ready to be used in someone’s program for ranch work, 4H (not novice), ApHC showing or as a foundation broodmare. Her bloodlines are over 60% direct trace back to the original 4932 F# horses of the
ApHC registry .

Rescued as a yearling, we have worked with Misty for several years. She has been registered with the ApHC and has her FPD (83%). She
is a kind mare that is eager to please. She has not yet been broke to saddle
but is ready this spring. She was saved to be part of our breeding program, with
a guarantee of color with our foundation stallion, but we have changed our plans due to family tragedy and financial considerations. Misty is offered as part of a foundation starter program package ($8,250) along with
Mamin Iskitpe Apache and Mornings Glory L with a guarantee of color on any foal. She
has not been yet been bred as she has been growing herself.

Dam: Mornings Glory L (Pratt Bimbo
C {by KC Choc Chip CC} X Pratt Miss Imbuck)
Registration qualified for ApHC, FPD 97%, ICAA, IPAA, Colorado Ranger, Sundance,
FAHR, Oregon Bred.
Oreo is perfection. She is likely
the finest filly we have produced so far with the most outgoing personality I have ever seen in a foal. She is curious and friendly, she would crawl into your lap if it were big enough. She is not afraid of anything, curious about everything and just as calm and sweet as anyone could want. Of her full siblings, she is the only one that is not a leopard but she has strong
leopard pattern genes from both her sire and dam. She always comes running to
the fence with a whinny and she is just the most beautiful filly ever, black with the blanket and a star on her forehead. Her registration has not yet been completed.
I am still debating on the name for her so this name may change or you can select your own. Her blood is almost 60% traceback to the original 4932 F# horses of the ApHC registry. Her big brother has been added as a foundation stallion for the Nez Perce Horse Registry and her other
brother will remain as the go forward stallion for Appy Trails Ranch. Oreo has
the confirmation, the personality, the intelligence and the color our foundation program viewed as the goal. She was to be added to another foundation breeders program, as a planned breeding, if a filly, but that
has not happened so we are making her available. She will be an amazing mount
and addition to any breeding program.

Catcher was delivered with her dam standing, she was caught as she slid out
and placed on the straw. Solid black like her sire, she is a full sibling to
MIA BearPaws AU Anni. This young mare has great confirmation, she has a peaceful
calmness to her and she loves attention. She has not had much more than basic
halter breaking so far, she is fine for the shoer and has been loaded in the trailer a number of times. She is ready to move on to someone that will have the time to work with her and can appreciate the foundation
(FPD 97%) character she possesses. She traces over 60% of her blood to the original
4932 F# horses of the ApHC.
Sold Congratulations to Maury Lawson of Appaloosa Hillside
Farm. She will be Adding Hy Catch to her foundation mares. Hy Catch will be living in South Dakota with
Cheryl Woods for a while before she moves to MA.
Our primary objective at Appy Trails Ranch has been the preservation of the Foundation bloodlines in our appaloosa
horses. Our program focuses on old blood appaloosas, preserving the endurance and disposition that made the
appaloosa special. Our horses are selected for their confirmation and capabilities to provide usable animals.
We also breed quality AKC German Shepherd working dogs.
