6.2 Antique Wood 8 X 10 Seneca View Camera with brass lens and maker's plate signed:

COMPETITOR VIEW
SENECA CAMERA MFG. CO.
Rochester, NY USA
Impressive large brass lens appears like a 19thC. telescope mounted on the camera's original lensboard and marked: Rectilinear Lens 8 X 10. Objective lens measures 2-3/8" Diameter mounted in overall brass barrel 3-1/2" Diameter X 3-1/2" Depth to lens board. Retaining ring glass element for lens appears to have an internal bubble, but not chipped or damaged, probably factory anomaly that doesn't effect image, and apparent from reverse side of lens board. Camera makes an attractive decorative piece, but appears to be in good serviceable condition as found and most certainly could be returned to service with little effort. Mahogany body appears cosmetically good & functional, without damages to wood and sans back plate with ground glass. Bellows reinforced by old tape affixed to some corners, may not be light tight.
