This weblog is our online journal. You'll find a synopsis of our travels and RV living as well as links to other things on the web that we find interesting.   Remember, you can click on the pictures to get a larger image in another window.  You can also click on the dates at the end of this page to read archived journal entries.   As you click through the pages, take your time.  Notice that the blogs begin in May of 2006 - so there's lots of reading if you go back in history.  Know that we are enjoying life to its fullest and hope you are too.  Enjoy!

We enjoyed a Friday evening of Jazz in the Park at the Van Wezel.  It was still sunny and warm but there was a nice breeze along the waterfront; there are such wonderful free activities in Sarasota County.
Today we lunched at Sharky's and walked along the pier and beach, getting our last taste of fresh seafood before we head to the midwest.

Currently 81 degrees, 67% humidity - high today 95.  Okay, so it's really getting warm.  It's not so much fun to take our evening walks now - more like a sauna.  We haven't had a bit of rain in several days.
We spent the morning at Historic Spanish Point in Osprey watching the videos and reading all the exhibit placards; ran out of time so next season we'll walk the grounds.  After lunch we played table tennis in Venice for the last time this season.  We enjoy the exercise and the friendly competition.  On our way home we stopped at Nokomis Groves for the pineapple/orange swirl ice cream.  It's sooo good!

It appears we all survived 06/06/06/06/06/06.  Hope to be in touch with you next year on 07/07/07/07/07/07 - we might be awake at that hour!  Today we made our last trip to Bradenton this season:  Paul had his teeth cleaned; we visited with Linda; we enjoyed a Boston Market meal; and we drove through what seems like everlasting road and intersection construction sites.  We missed seeing the sculpture along Sarasota Bay.  No rain today - low 70, high 90, and the humidity is creeping up.
