This weblog is our online journal. You'll find a synopsis of our travels and RV living as well as links to other things on the web that we find interesting.   Remember, you can click on the pictures to get a larger image in another window.  You can also click on the dates at the end of this page to read archived journal entries.   As you click through the pages, take your time.  Notice that the blogs begin in May of 2006 - so there's lots of reading if you go back in history.  Know that we are enjoying life to its fullest and hope you are too.  Enjoy!

Our day off - we went to see "Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest." How many of you stayed through the credits to see the final scene?   Then we had dinner at Culver's.   Regina will be missing NJCL Convention this week - but getting a root canal.  Does the fun ever end?   We're back in the 90's and 100 degree heat index for a few days.  Hope you all are keeping cool!

Last night we had a few hours of thunderstorms with almost 2 inches of rain.  Today was hot and humid and forecast is for 90+ degrees through the weekend.  Corn dogs today, chicken shack tomorrow:  having fun - wish you were here.  Really!

Working six to ten hour days sure takes up play time.  Food service has many jobs but they figured we could handle a cash register so that's what I've done mostly.  Paul has done that and also serving and patio work and he's learned how to make corn dogs.  I really don't want to cook - none of that hot frying oil for me!  Our job and hours change daily:  we get a schedule each week that could put us in the dippin' dots, lemonade stand, corn dog area, or chicken shack which also includes fries, onion rings, and drinks.   I've got a few days of serving next week which is basically filling the orders and handing to customers.   We're both learning how to fill drink orders FAST.   About half the workers are workampers like us (older) and the other half is local teenagers and college kids.  The crowds are mostly families with young kids and teenagers.  Go to www.adventureland-usa.com  and check it out.  So far we're enjoying ourselves.
