The Bridges of Madison County - we drove to Winterset, birthplace of John Wayne, and on country roads to see the bridges, campgrounds, historical sites and more.  We had lunch on the square and marked off each bridge and movie site on our map.  Check out www.madisoncounty.com  - lots of information and pictures.

Today was a beautiful sunny day although the mornings are a bit cool - 58 degrees - but the days warm up to 80.  Paul was RV tech today with his many projects, taking care of our home.  We missed the tour but walked around a castle here in Des Moines.  Check it out at www.salisburyhouse.org 

We've had a bit of rain here.  That didn't stop us from playing miniature golf with a group of Adventureland workampers on Monday.  The rain stopped long enough for us to get in our 18 holes in the a.m.  Larry and Paul made a bet between them - Bulldog vs Gator;  Shirley and Regina just had fun - and we were all within 3 points of each other.   We stopped at Prairie Meadows and picked up our Club 55 cards.  We may have time to get there now.
