Dirt Cheap and Hudson's Treasure Chest are two great stores for bargains in the area.  After a shopping trip today we went to one of the many casinos that are now in business; good buffet and fun at the slots.  No, we didn't win big.  We'll be heading to Tallahassee this week; hope it stays warm a while longer.

The last week has been days of travelling along I-20 and state roads until we arrived in Biloxi, MS; Melissa drove across Dallas to visit with us in the WalMart parking lot; Sharron and Charlie shared meals and tours of Columbia, MS, and their 78 acres; we especially enjoyed picking pecans and petting the cows; and now getting caught up on 'housework' and visiting with RV tech friends who have been working in the area since Katrina.   The devastation is still evident:  twisted and broken trees, homes with the first floor swept clean, steps leading to a home no more, and so much more.  The local tv station has put together several hours of before and after Katrina in southern MS;  it is unbelievable.
