The last day of May was warm and sunny; lots of end-of-the-school-year kids and their teachers in the park today.
Beautiful full moon tonight, too; second one in May so that makes it "blue." Keep smilin'

Iowa has plenty of rain - we closed up Dippin' Dots and Frosted Lemonade a few hours early today because the storms came
at 4 p.m. Sure wish we could send some of this to those of you who need the precipitation. When we arrived home
there were several geese walking in the yard. The rabbits and squirrels must be at home underground. Did we tell
you how much we enjoy Iowa? There's so much to like about the central time zone and the friendly midwest. Did
you see ABC News tonight with Kanzi, a bonobo, and Azy, an orangutan, who make their home at the Great Ape Trust right
here in Des Moines? This year is also beneficial to the politically minded; it seems that every possible presidential
candidate has visited the state to meet with a variety of groups to "campaign" and raise money. Visit www.iowavotes2008.com for more information. Have a great day.

It's Sunday Morning. The rains have stopped and I already see cars lined up to enter Adventureland. It's
going to be a good day -after yesterday's rains kept the crowds away. We're together in frozen lemonade today according
to the schedule but that can always change. Going to work at 11 a.m. is really pleasant - we watch most of Ellen on
weekdays and Sunday Morning now. Hope you're having a good weekend.

Sent home early today. It's been a windy and stormy day with almost an inch of rain here and over two inches in
other parts of Iowa; now we know why Iowa is as green as Florida: rain and sunshine - just more wind here. That would
explain the many windmill farms here; I bet this wind happens year round. Hope you all have a good weekend.

Here we are enjoying our six day, 34 hour work weeks again. We've done lemonade, dippin' dots, and chicken shack.
It's nice that we've also received several comments from the guests that they enjoy being served by "mature" adults.
The weather has been pleasant, also, with just a few days of rain; we had forgotten how windy it can be, though; today
we have gusts up to 25 mph with a pretty steady wind of 10-14 mph. Again we see rabbits every evening; it's so cute
to see their little "cotton tails" skampering across the field. Today we saw the thirteen-striped ground squirrels running
through the grasses; we really are camped in a park-like setting next to the amusement park. We went to a local community
center last week to play table tennis; good competition but it's all guys. Paul will be doing this on Tues. and
Thurs. evenings and enjoying the exercise and opportunity to improve his game. Regina will read and try to diminish
the stack of magazines. Remember our service men and women, who have given their lives that we may remain free, on
this Memorial Day.
