This weblog is our online journal. You'll find a synopsis of our travels and RV living as well as links to other things on the web that we find interesting.   Remember, you can click on the pictures to get a larger image in another window.  You can also click on the dates at the end of this page to read archived journal entries.   As you click through the pages, take your time.  Notice that the blogs begin in May of 2006 - so there's lots of reading if you go back in history.  Know that we are enjoying life to its fullest and hope you are too.  Enjoy!

We're stuffed!  We took six hours to drive down to Sikeston, MO, and stopped at Hinton Campground - we've been here before.  It's a good stop with Escapee discount, cable TV, wifi, and a shuttle to Lambert's - home of the "throwed" rolls.   It's a fun place to eat and bring home enough for another meal...  Okay, now we really do plan to overnight at Flying J's and WalMarts.  Isn't it annoying that Columbus Day "holiday" is Monday when Columbus Day is really next Friday?

Mark Twain's Cave and Campground has free wi-fi so here we are...  it was a COLD 52 degrees in the cave but well worth the stories we heard.  If you watch The Weather Channel they are here today doing a show on the temperature, humidity, etc. of caves.  The truck was in the area checking on the tornadoes around Palmyra and Hannibal is just down the road.  We went into town and visited Mark Twain's Boyhood Home which included an interpretative center, museum, and several homes in the neighborhood.  Last night we drove up to Lover's Leap and looked over the river and train depot and the whole of Hannibal.  You, too, can read all about it at www.visithannibal.com  Is anyone out there checking on the websites I send along?  Is anyone out there reading our website?  Tomorrow we start our driving days and nights at Flying J's and WalMarts on our way to warm weather and humidity.  YES!

October - a month with several holidays to decorate and celebrate:  we'll be on the road, though, so you all enjoy while we are travelling.  We had planned to leave this a.m. but it was raining and storming...we're retired so we decided to wait a day...the wind will be pushing us along, also, instead of pushing us back.  Hugs to you all.
