There will be a reception in the Spicewood Vineyards pavilion on Saturday, March 8, 2003 from 2-5 PM.. Please drop in for a snack and browsing.

The winery is open Wednesday through Saturday from 12:00 noon until 5 PM.

Spicewood Vineyards is located at 1419 Burnet Co road 409, which is easily accessible from Texas 71 approximately 17 miles west of the FM 620 - 71 intersection. Take State Highway 71 from Austin west to Spicewood. Continue on Hwy 71 for 1/2 mile to Burnet County Road 408 and turn left (south), away from the lake. Go approximately 7/10 mile and turn right on the first road, which is County Road 409. Continue on County Road 409 for 1 1/2 miles through the vineyard, and take the left fork. The winery building and space for parking are on the right.

We moved to Spicewood in June 2002 after living in Houston for 25 years. Part of the motive for that move was the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. In this series, I have tried to capture a small part of that appeal, including flora, fauna, and geology.
