All of my pieces are created in my workshop, starting with the raw lumber. A full compliment of woodworking tools and machinery is used.
Of particular interest is the parquet technique, where blocks of wood 1/4" thick(not veneers) are fitted together to form thousands
of different patterns. These pieces are cut to high precision using the table saw and radial arm saw.
After a box is completed, it is finished over a period of several weeks with 7 coats of a tung oil based finish.
Stain is never used, reflecting my own love of the natural wood colors.
