1. SPONTANEOUS MOVEMENT, Vol. 1&2

These are unique among yoga tapes because there are no directions for structured postures. All of the instructions simply direct the listener back into wholeness of body, mind, and spirit. This has always been the purpose of yoga - postures arose spontaneously from deep states of meditation - the body's response to its' own impulse. The essence of yoga is direct experience. These tapes are designed to lead you into an experience of authentic posture/movement originating from the intelligence of the body rather than the fluctuating mind. "Yogah cittavrtti nirodah" - the purpose of yoga is to quiet the disturbances of the mind - Patanjali. Any yoga tape can quickly become mechanical through repetition. Because these tapes are entirely conceptual with no specific directions, they can lead to a unique and creative experience of movement/integration with EACH listening. Simply respond to the directions with a playful or devotional movement-dance. There are 840,000 postures. Discover the ones that best serve you in the moment. They already exist in the body/mind like the sculpture that resides in a block of stone.
Suitable for any age or ability level, including those with physical challenges confined to a chair or bed. No experience needed - simply let go of preconceived ideas about yoga. These two volumes are also a rich source of cues for yoga teachers to use in their classes.
