Welcome to the "family."

Beach Music Mafia is an organization of movers and shakers in the San Diego music scene with the sole purpose of fostering a better scene. We create music events such as the annual "CASH ONLY! - A Tribute to the Music & Legend of Johnny Cash.," and we were instrumental in creating the OB Underground. Every Wednesday, we host MUSIC ON THE AVENUE at the Ocean Beach Farmers Market on Newport Avenue (OUR 3RD YEAR!), as well as FRIDAY ROCKS & SATURDAY ROCKS at O'Connell's. We also present "OFF THE HOOK TUESDAYS" which features punk, metal - hard and heavy acts. We invented the famous OB SUN JAM at Sunset Plaza, and are proud to be entering our 3rd year. And beginning January 14th, we are also proud to be bringing music to RAY AT NIGHT, San diego's favorite art & gallery walk held the second Saturday of every month in North Park, is the largest monthly art event in San Diego, drawing over 1,500 people. From 6 to 9 p.m., you'll find a wide variety of artwork on display including paintings, sketches, sculptures, ceramics, blown glass, organic art and jewelry. check out the "Mob Action" and "mafiARTgallery" sections of our site to see all the stuff we're up to..

if you're the kind of act that wants to play the local pubs on the weekends, we can help you. If what you seek is the open-mic commeraderie thing on Tuesdays or Thursdays or Mondays, we can hhook you up and or connect you. If you wanna get the hell outta Dodge and hit the road, we're already doing it. We can book you in a variety of beachy venues from acoustic to punk, from San Diego to Santa Cruz to Austin to NYC. And we're growing.

We throw cool events like "CASH ONLY!" - A Tribute to the Music & Legend of Johnny Cash; The FRIDAY ROCKS & the SATURDAY ROCKS series; OB SUN JAM, OFFTHE HOOK TUESDAYS!, and we celebrate our 3rd year hosting MUSIC ON THE AVENUE .... from acoustic to punk we book it at the beaches. We are the creators of the OB SUN JAM , and this past year we hosted the Halloween party at kenny's Castaways in NYC as part of the Annual VILLAGE HALLOWEEN PARADE FESTIVAL - The largest Halloween Festival in the world.

The Mob is Growing.

Beach Music Mafia is expanding fast. It is our mission to someaday bring bitchen music to ALL the great beaches of the world. But we're taking it one strip of sand at a time. We have a lot of fun in Ocean Beach, already as you know. However, we recently started helping folks get airplay on net radio and FM broadcast in San Diego, NY, and Japan. We booked shows in NY City and have near future plans to take a few shows up the California Coast to Santa Cruz., and also to Austin, Texas (they don't really have a beach, but they think they do, so, just play along.

YOU WANNA GET INVOLVED WITH SOMETHING COOL? We'd love to hear your ideas. You're out there working hard. So are we. Our idea is that if we work together we'll wind up in a better scene with better opportunities. By now we're a small, but growing team of ambitious people. With a few more ambitious people we can make for a bigger and better year in music. If you got what it takes, give us a shout, and we'll tell you more of what's in store for this year.
