Several years ago we started looking for men who served in Vietnam with the 282nd Assault Helicopter Company to reunite old buddies and make new friends. We have located over 600 and they now comprise The Veterans of the 282nd AHC (Black Cat Association). They range from CO to KP, LTC to PVT, and have tour dates from 1966 to 1972. All vets who served with the 282nd in Vietnam are welcome to join the association. We hold a unit reunion every two years somewhere in the US, and we publish a quarterly newsletter and association roster so that contact can be maintained with old friends. Association members can get a current copy of the membership roster by Email attachment or by sending a large SASE with double postage to: Tom Pullen, 702 Platinum Street, Fayetteville, NC 28311-1827. The roster includes phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses of every member who desires to be on the list. Email for other members will be forwarded if they are on the Net. We have a collection of photos of aircraft and crewmembers of the 282nd in Vietnam, which are available by snail-mail or, as attachments to Email. You are welcome to call (910-822-2902) or send Email (blackcats282AHC@earthlink.net) any time.
