LORAIN COUNTY -- A former county employee is sentenced for driving drunk and hitting a blind man.
Kirk Stewart pleaded no contest today and was found guilty of DUI.
Stewart used to work for the Lorain County prosecutor. He was arrested in November for driving a county van while drunk and running into a blind man who was out walking his guide dog. The man was not seriously hurt.
Stewart was sentenced to 27 days in jail, but that was suspended.
He'll have to take a special driving course and has lost his license until May.
