T-BASE COMMUNICATIONS has aligned capabilities with The American Foundation for the Blind in an effort to provide accessible information services to blind and partially sighted American consumers.
The American Foundation for the Blind, (AFB), is a national non-profit organization whose priorities include broadening access to technology and elevating the quality of information and tools for the professionals who serve people with vision loss. The role of T-BASE COMMUNICATIONS in this new initiative is to make AccessAbill(C) technology available to American financial affiliates of AFB, providing bank statements, consumer household invoices, wealth management reports and other documents in an accessible format to consumers who cannot access their information through conventional means.
"Financial invoices and statements are inherently highly private and confidential matters. This partnership provides AFB with the resources to fulfill the need for a financially influential group of consumers to access information independently in order to make informed decisions on products and services," said Sharlyn Ayotte, President and CEO of T-BASE COMMUNICATIONS.
AccessAbill(C) is an electronic system that provides fully secured billing services to clients whose customers cannot access their financial information in conventional print. Accessible invoices and statements, complete with the preserved institutional branding, are sent directly to the consumer in the format of their choice.
"As boomers age, more and more people are expected to experience vision loss, which means more customers will need access to usable personal financial statements," said Carl R. Augusto, AFB's President & CEO. "We are thrilled to be partnering with T-BASE COMMUNICATIONS to ensure financial documents are available in large print, Braille, and other accessible formats."
T-BASE COMMUNICATIONS has been providing listen-ready and touch-ready contractual and customer management materials for government and industry since 1994. With locations in Canada and the United States, T-BASE COMMUNICATIONS provides North American companies with alternate format communication services for their blind and partially sighted customers.
