Hi! We are Bert and Maryanne Morehead. We know that as you are reading this letter and considering us as parents for your child, that you are making one of the most important decisions of your life. Our hope is that we can provide the support and understanding you need as you make this decision. We can't wait to become parents and share the incredible joy of raising a child together!

We feel that adoption is a wonderful way to start a family!
Our cute little nephew, Josh, was adopted through the IAC three years ago by Maryanne's younger brother Bob and his wife Shannon. Bert and his family have recently had a heartwarming reunion with their twin half sisters placed for adoption over 50 years ago. These experiences have made us realize how important open adoption is. We will respect whatever your wishes are in regards to the kind of contact you would like to have with us and your child.

We have so many hopes and dreams for our child...
We believe strongly in education and want to support our child in school. We will encourage and cheer our child on to discover and pursue his or her own special interests and talents. We will create a stable and loving home so our child can grow up feeling self-confident and happy. We have so much love to share with a child and know that through open adoption our dreams of having a family will come true.
