[Regarding the wicked:] 'his own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. He shall die without instruction, and in the greatness of his folly, he shall go astray." Proverbs 5: 22-23

"Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep, so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward [false] mouth. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers; frowardness is in his heart; he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. These six things doth THE LORD [GOD] hate: a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, an false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren." Proverbs 6: 10-19

""For the Commandment [not to commit adultery] is a lamp and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life; to keep thee from the evil woman; from the flattery of the tongue of a stange woman. Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids. For by means of a whorish woman, a man is brought to a piece of bread, and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life. Can a man take fire in his bosom and his clothes not be burned? Can one go upon hot coals and his feet not be burned? So he that goeth in to his neighbor's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.. . . but whoso commitheth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding; he that doeth it, destroyeth his own soul. Proverbs 6: 23-29,32

"I lead in the way of righteousness; in the midst of the paths of judgement; that I may cause those that love ME to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures." Proverbs 8: 20-21

"For whoso findeth ME, [saith GOD to Solomon] findeth life; and shall obtain favour of THE LORD. But he that sinneth against ME, wrongeth his own soul; all that hate ME, love death." Proverbs 8: 35-36

"The fear of THE LORD [GOD] is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of THE HOLY, is understanding.For by ME thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased." Proverbs 9: 10-11

"The blessing of THE LORD [GOD], it maketh rich, and HE addeth no sorrow with it." Proverbs 10: 22
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him; but the desire of the righteous shall be granted." Proverbs 10:24
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"A false balance is abomination to THE LORD; but a just weight is HIS delight. When pride cometh, then cometh shame; but with the lowly is wisdom. The integrity of the upright shall guide them; but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Riches profit not in the day of wrath; but righteousness delivereth from death. The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his steps but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them; but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish; and the hope of the unjust men perisheth. The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead." Proverbs 11: 1-8

"A gracious woman retaineth honor. . . the merciful man doeth good to his own soul, but he that is cruel, troubleth his own flesh. The wicked worketh a deceitful work; but to him that soweth righteousness, shall be a sure reward. As righteousness tendeth to life; so he that pursueth evil, pursueth it to his own death. They that are of a froward heart, are abomination to THE LORD, but such as are upright in their way are HIS delight. . "Proverbs 11: 16a, 17-20

The soul of the sluggard desireth and hath nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat [ note: a previous footnote said the word fat means as fat lighter wood--giving light and heat. FYI.] Proverbs 13: 3-4
