Preserving Nature Art Show
Central Indiana Land Trust Incorporated [CILTI] board member Eric MacDougall, along with CILTI staff and volunteers, have been working on a very special art show and event coming up in 2007. Fifteen of Indianas finest landscape and nature artists will each be painting two scenes from CILTIs properties to be part of a special collection entitled Preserving Nature. The artists have one year to produce their two paintings each for this collection, which will be displayed in the Artsgarden at the Indianapolis Circle Center Mall for two weeks in April of 2007. From there, the works will be displayed at several different locations in the CILTI service area over the summer months. This will be a juried (judged) event with awards. In August of 2007 there will be a public auction with part of the proceeds benefiting CILTI. In addition to the famed plein air artists of the book Painting Indiana, Portraits of Indianas 92 Counties, ten other talented Hoosier artists were chosen by Jennifer King, the editor of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine. The complete list of artists is as follows: Ronald Mack, Robert Eberle, Dan Woodson, Don Russell, Maureen Pesta, Jerry Smith, James Tracy, David Tutwiler, Line Tutwiler, Wayne Waldron, Rena Brouwer, Dale Davis, Jeanne McLeish, Maureen Pesta, and Timothy Greatbach.
