Bill purchased this Allied Coupe in 2005 and is in the process of restoring it.

Bill's car is a small coupe on a custom tube chassis. The car was built by legendary race car fabricator, Jud
Phillips. It was originally equipped with a Offenhauser engine, but is being replaced by a well built Mercury Flathead. It
also has early Airheart disc brakes.

Bill's car has the optional Pontiac taillights, instead of the 1949 Ford taillights that were installed on the majority
of Allieds. The suspension and chassis on this car are very "circle-track" inspired with chrome-moly round tube frame,
solid axles and torsion-bar springs front and rear. Jud Phillips built race cars for 1/2 mile ovals all the way up to cars
for the Indy 500 in the 1950's and 60's.

Here we see the car's rear torsion bar suspension , early Halibrand quick-change rear end and Airheart discs.

This is a photo of a rare MG/Allied Roadster that was offered for sale recently on Ebay. Compare the body of this car
with the body of Paul Ingram's Atlas "Falcon". A car that looks identical to this a MGTF roadster that ran in California
road races in the 1950's with a driver by the name of John Benton.
