Charmiene's story 'Starlings' was written after watching the starlings gathering in the evening, in village of Topsham.

My three brothers and one sister are all living in Topsham in England, a place we all love dearly.

I was born in Axminster,
our home at 
"Highfields House" in England.

Cruise Ship

At six weeks old I was packed into a cradle and off on a cruise ship, en route to East Africa; living in Kampala  for the next ten years, my father had a wonderful job in the coffee industry.
We swam at the gorgeous Silver Springs pool in Kampala and in Lake Victoria where we were all infected with bilharzia and had to spend a month at the London hospital for tropical diseases, where a daily hour-long  injection of antimone was necessary. These incidents have now inspired some stories of childhood reflections.

Switzerland, and marriage at the age of eighteen - living in Zurich for fifteen years provided me with enriching stories to tell and left me with memories of a very special country that I now call home.
Off to America after that - and as a consequence stories of the North American continent emerged.
After travelling to India and Thailand - another book of narratives spontaneously arose.
Stories of incidents, people and reflections keep on bubbling out 'from my lap top computer'.
