November 2014 ClassesNovember 3rd Test Drive A TEC Infrared Grill This is a hands on class.  We will have all the ingredients you supply the man power.  Registration $30 class starts at 6:15pm

November 4th  Culinary Tours Review of trip to the Peidmont region of Italy. Chef Militello will review 4 regional dishes have a slide presentation. Information about the culinary tour will be available as well as future trips. Some of the participants of this years trip will be present to share their stories.Please attend if you would like to go on the next tour.  Registration for class is $35 and the class starts at 6:15pm

November 6th Dim Sum .  We are offering demo class on making the chinese small bite items called Dim Sum. Menu TBA.  Class starts at 6:15pm and registation is $35

November 7th  Monthly Tapas class demonstration by chefs.  We will create 6 small plates for you to sample. Sit back and ask questions about the recipes and ingredients. Registration $35 class starts at 6:30 pm

November 8th  Art Class. Drawing for Adults. Join us for a still life class. Registration $20 Bring a snack or beverage to enjoy during class. 9:30-11:30 am

1st Course (preset)

Eggplant Caponata

A classic Italian eggplant dish sweetened with caramelized onions and raisins gets its rich flavor from a surprising ingredient: grated milk chocolate

2nd Course

Mixed Greens with Cranberries and Cocoa Nibs

Baby greens with orange segments, dried cranberries, goat cheese and cocoa nibs all tossed with citrus vinaigrette.

3rd Course

Venezuelan Chocolate Chili Chicken

Thigh meat roasted in a rich chili sauce and finished with velvety dark Venezuelan chocolate. A quick and easy authentic Venezuelan dish served with rice and beans.

4th Course

Butternut Squash Soup with Grilled Spicy Shrimp

White Chocolate is added to this fall and winter soup to add depth and warmth. The spicy shrimp compliment the sweet soup to complete the balance

5 th course

Death by Chocolate

A specialty of Chef Patrick, layers of chocolate cake, chocolate truffle, chocolate mousse and wrapped in a shell of chocolate. 

 

November 14th Private Class

November 13th Fresh Pasta & Cooking Italian.  We will make fresh pasta, toss a pizza and create an entree.  Join us for a fun evening of cooking in the kitchen.  $40/person Registration start time 6:15 pm

November 14th Couples Cooking Low Country Food. Everyone cooks make sure you bring a good partner?  Registraiton $80/ couple  6:30 pm start.

  • Wedge Salad with Crispy Bacon and Tomato
  • Shrimp and Grits with Tasso Ham Gravy
  • White Chocolate Bread Pudding

November 18th Wild Women . Monthly ladies only class. Registration $35 Start time 6:15 pm

  • Chicken En Croute with salad greens and lemon vinaigrette

November 20th Vista Lights  We are offering a short class for our Artichoke members and their friends.  This class will be a demonstration class and we will have you out by 7:30pm to enjoy the festival.  Registration $20 for members and $25 for non-members.Start time, 6 pm..

  • Onion Soup Au Gratin
  • Herb Roasted Chicken with Salad Greens
  • Apple Turn over with Vanilla Ice Cream

November 21st . Small Plate Italiano.Similar to our tapas class but we will present 6 dishes with an Italian Influence.Registration $35 6:30pm

  • Fruit di Mare (Seafood mix)
  • Polpette(Meat Croquette)
  • Meatballs Provolone
  • Zeppole with Honey and Sugar

November 22  Art Class. Drawing for Adults. Join us for a lesson on Pet Potraits. Bring a current picture of your favorite pet. Registration $20 Bring a snack or beverage to enjoy during class. 9:30-11:30 am

November 25 Annual Pie class with Chef John Militello. Join us and make 3 pies to take to Thanksgiving Dinner.Registration is $45/ person and class starts at 6:15pm ( This class is sold out)

November 27th WE GIVE THANKS!

November 28th  Couples Cooking Raviolis.  Bring your spouse for a night out after Thanks giving.  We will be making fresh pasta  with pumpkin, cheese, sage turkey and cranberry and spicy Italian sausage.  Registration $80/Couple 6:30 pm start.
