Note:
The Grant Street exit from I-90 (Toll Road) is closed for construction;
Broadway (the next exit going east after Grant Street) is an alternate route.
The Grant Street entrance to I-90 (Toll Road) IS OPEN.

From Chicago, Whiting, Hammond, East Chicago, and points west and northwest:

Chicago Skyway/Indiana Toll Road (I-90) east to the Broadway (IN-53) -- exit (Exit 14-B) in Gary.
Turn right (south) onto Broadway.
Turn right (west) onto US 12/20 (4th Avenue).
Go nine blocks to Tyler Street (stoplight) and turn left (south).
Go two or three blocks to any of the following Cathedral parking lots—

The first lot (includes handicapped parking) is behind the Cathedral, next to school, at 6th Avenue and Tyler Street;
The main lot is across from the Cathedral on 7th Avenue off Tyler Street;
Additional parking (including additional handicapped parking), is available in the lot west of Cathedral. However, due to one way street configurations in the area, please take Tyler to 8th Avenue, turn right on 8th and go 1 block to Polk Street, turn right (north), then go 1-1/2 blocks to lot entrance north of 7th Avenue, next to Cathedral.

From eastern Lake County and Porter and LaPorte Counties, Indiana, and points east:

Indiana Toll Road (I-90) west to Dunes Highway (US 12-20) exit.
Route 12-20 east (becomes 4th Avenue) to Tyler Street. (2.5 miles)
Turn left (south) on Tyler Street two blocks to Cathedral lot. (3 blocks)

From southern and middle Lake County and points south:

I-65 north to its terminus at US 12-20 in Gary (5th Avenue/Dunes Highway).
Turn left (west) onto US 12-20.
Take Route 12-20 east (becomes 4th Avenue) to Tyler Street. (2.5 miles)
Turn left (south) on Tyler Street two blocks to Cathedral lot. (3 blocks)

Return to Indiana Toll Road
(westbound toward Whiting, East Chicago, Hammond, and Chicago
or eastbound toward Porter County and points east):

Take 7th Avenue (the one-way eastbound street directly in front of the Cathedral)one block east to Harrison Street.
Turn left (north) onto Harrison Street.
Go three blocks north on Harrison Street to 4th Avenue (one-way westbound).
Turn left onto 4th Avenue and go west five blocks to Buchanan Street (stop light at the intersection). Watch for the I-90 sign.
Turn right at Buchanan St. and drive north to the entrance of I-90, the Indiana Toll Road.
Access to eastbound (to Ohio) and westbound (to Chicago) traffic is provided from the ramp.
