The low camera angle is due to the camera man being up to his hips in mud.  Nick came back around and pulled me out. This critter was guarding the last control

If everyone in the pictures look like they were cold, it is because they probably were.  The temperature on Saturday morning started out at 13 degrees and climbed all the way up to about freezing.  Many of the lakes there had a solid sheet of ice across them.  Sunday morning the temperature was about 23 and made it up to about 40 degrees.  The extreme-O on Monday was much better.  When Nick and I left the hotel at sunrise the temperature was 37 degrees and climbed up into the 50's later that day.
