Since our last publishing of this site, Kristina, from the city of Ufa, Russia, arrived 2
days before Christmas. She has settled in well with the family. Kristina is adding new skills to her
repertoire daily. She is perfecting her high-quality English by conversing with the family mostly in
English. She did start a German language class and has proven a good student in this language, too. She has visited
the Karnevalsumzug (Mardi Gras Celebration) in Mainz, seen and toured the University and City of
Homburg, has travelled to France, Niederbronn-les-Bains for an overnight stay at a Youth Hostel with
a Youth Leader Training Seminar, has seen a soccer game at the Fritz Walter Stadion in Kaiserslautern,
and is planning a trip to Rome at Easter. She is getting along well with Theannah and Wrenna and is a big help in the
household alltogether. Due to her plans to attend a Russian University in
the fall, she will only be staying with us until July of 2006. We have already begun our search for the next Au Pair
and have found a promising candidate from China, Wenqing Ma, who will hopefully arrive as early as July.
The webpage for Theannah and Wrenna's elementary school is still running, but
not as well tended to as Susi would like due to her lack of free time. If you can offer some time to help update the
page, please contact us! In the meantime, feel free to go & check it out, just because it's a cool thing! Do
