Dee Bell has been seen on the big stage at Kimball's in the East Bay, Yoshi's
at Jack London Square, at the Russian River Jazz Festival, the San Francisco Jazz Festival and at the Alpha Hotel in Japan
to name a few. She has also appeared on television in Washington, D.C. Her most recent large venue performances include the
Indianapolis Arts Garden, Napa's Mustard Festival, Jazz at Pearl's, Daytona's, and Zebulon's Lounge.
Dee has been praised by critics in Europe, Japan and the United States for her mellow pure vocals. Her soothing sound has
been compared with Cleo Laine, June Christy and Chris Connor among others.
Leonard Feather of the LA Times rated her with five bells and Derrick Stewart-Baxter of England's Jazz Journal said "Dee
Bell is more than just a good professional. She knows just how to bring the best out in a song. She does her own thing, lazy,
hazy, smoky singing." Gerald Nachman of the San Francisco Chronicle said "She's a picture singer - a pretty, blue-eyed,
honey-blonde with a husky-dusky voice that contains classic echoes of Chris Connor, Anita O'Day, Jeri Southern and, during
low-slung swoops, Cleo Laine."
Her albums are "Let There Be Love" with Stan Getz and Eddie Duran - CJ 206 and "One by One" with Tom
Harrell and Eddie Duran - CJ271. "Let There Be Love" is currently available by calling the listed telephone number
