a selection of works in progress

D. L. Engle has been a full time working sculptor for over 30 years in Southern California, with a special interest in animals in art.

From two-inch miniatures to six-foot monuments, her fine art bronzes are noted for their exquisite design and insightful modeling. But it is an animal's unique expression and character that is most notably brought to life in her work.

Her knowledge of animal anatomy and expression has grown from a lifetime of involvement in a variety of activities, being a frequent attendee at shows, trials, events or any place where animals are to observe, learn and work from live models.

The result has been some of the most desirous and coveted animal art in the world.
