We have developed a Quick Reference First Aid Flip Chart for Barn and Trail.  It is easy to use, compact and you can hang it in the barn on a nail or put it in your saddle back for the trail.

The FLIP CHART grew out of our on-site Equine First Aid course that we offer at our Rescue facility. We wanted something a horse owner could quickly reference in an emergency.

The FLIP CHART is handmade by Rescue volunteers and proceeds from its sale go toward feed and healthcare for our rescued horses.

Topics include Vital Signs, Boosting Immunity, Shock, Snake Bite, Colic, Choke, Injuries, Allergic Reactions, Poisoning, Heat Stroke, Hoof Abscesses, Bleeding. Also included are quick references to sedative/tranquilizers, and options for pain control, suggestions for medications to have on hand, barn and trail first aid kits.

Both conventional and complementary applications are included: Bach Flower Remedies, homeopathy, acupressure points for shock and colic, massage, herbs, essential oils and transfer factors and other colostrum based immunity boosters.

Equine First Aid Course

This is a 39 page text available on CD which covers the topics of our on-site Equine First Aid Class. In addition to the topics contained in the FLIP CHART and its GUIDE, this course provides lists of herbs, essential oils with equine applications, poisonous plants, and more in depth discussion of the topics. Included is a set of first aid scenarios, so that you can test your savvy on how to troubleshoot a few of the more common horse ailments. This course includes the FLIP CHART!
