Erwin Kramer's romance with film production began in his college years. As an avid film buff, his avocation became his vocation and he opted to study Film Production at CCNY, New York.

Having specialized in documentary film production at CCNY, Kramer was recruited by Henry Strauss Productions. As Production Manager he amassed a wealth of practical experience in sales, training, and travel films. Five years later, he moved on to Marathon International Productions where, as Assistant Director and Producer, he worked on a broad range of documentary, news, sports and industrial films. After several years working at Marathon, Horn/Griner, one of the country's foremost commercial still photography studios, decided to enter the film business and tapped Erwin Kramer as their Assistant Director and Producer. Over the next nine years, Kramer helped move Horn/Griner in it's new direction of becoming the most successful commercial production company in the world. Eventually Steve Horn & Norman Griner split up and Kramer went on to become a Partner/Executive Producer/Producer in newly formed Griner/Cuesta & Associates.

In the ensuing years, Kramer took the necessary steps to move the company into the 90s. Kramer extended his responsibilities to include management and planning for Griner/Cuesta's future. While recruiting new talent, forming new businesses, negotiating contracts, expanding into international markets, he produced more than a dozen CLIO winners for major national accounts and was instrumental in launching the careers of many industry luminaries.

In 1990, Erwin decided to open up the West Coast office for Griner/Cuesta in Venice, California. He was instrumental in establishing G/C as a major force in Los Angeles by recruiting Directors such as Carlton Chase, Doug Taub, Anthony Hoffman, Rebecca Blake and David Wild. By 1991, Erwin had launched his own commercial production company, Erwin Kramer Associates. As President and Executive Producer, Erwin Kramer Associates provides complete Production Services, as well as Production Management Services in both North America and overseas.

The last fourteen years Erwin has completed many projects through Erwin Kramer Associates, as well as been a freelance Line Producer, 1st Assistant Director, Agency Producer, Unit Production Manager, Radio Producer, Post Supervisor, etc..
