CHI PASSA PER STA STRADA:
Song and Dance from the Spanish Kingdoms

During the 16th century, the Spanish Empire included the Low Countries and southern Italy, as well as the territory of modern Spain, and fostered a cosmopolitan culture drawn from diverse roots. The songs and dances in this collection were chosen from the musical heritage of this culture to cover a wide range of moods and topics and to offer a lively impression of life during the Age of Exploration.
