Songs of Love and Adventure from Renaissance Europe

Friday, July 7, 2006, 8:00 PM ~ Music Mountain, Falls Village, CT

A wine and cheese reception will be held in The Big House following the performance.

A beautiful, theatrical and engaging program of music, poetry and dance will be presented by performers dressed in Renaissance costume. From an Italian composition supposed to have been written by a man who met Christopher Columbus, and saw the map he used to sail to the New World, to Henry VIII’s opinion of how we should spend our time, this concert will provide an exploration of the joys, pains and delights of love and adventure. We think you will find this early music refreshing and relevant today. Come to Music Mountain, and pass the time with good company!

Youth must have some dalliance, Of good or ill some pastance.
Company me thinks then best, All thoughts and fansies to digest.

Henry VIII
