Large Rose Purse

A charming small knit purse with a tulip bottom. It has three bands: top: blue / red chevron pattern; Middle band features a large red rose, a blue flower cluster with yellow centers and a large orange and yellow flower. The bottom has yellow triangles along the edge of a deep green beaded area. It is worked with very old micro sized glass beads. The restored lining is pale green silk with pale blue and white French floral trim. The frame is thin gold toned metal, embossed with some open cut work at top and 9 green glass stones on each side of purse. The standing clasp is a 1/2 oval shape with 5 green glass stones around edge and large metal sphere in center. the rectangular linked chain is connected to 3 circular links.

Purse # 001 Peaches on a Red Background

This unusual floral or deco purse features a dark red diamond pattern at the top with pink peaches (or other fruit?) and leaves across the bottom. This purse is the same on both sides. The lining is new and has been restored by Evelyn with a new 2" fringe of clear beads with green beads at the bottom of the loop. The frame is a thin, silver toned metal with a simple chain and a red bead clasp.

Purse # 045 Red Roses

This fine old knit purse bosts a large floral design filling the body on a clear glass beaded background. The design is the same on both sides. The 1.5" fringe is of twisted strands with aqua and red beads at the bottom. The frame is gold toned metal with small glass stones and small peacock birds at each side with their tails hanging down. The frame is jeweled on the front only. One stone is missing. There is a circle wreath drop, plunger clasp, and chain links with two pale green stones with metal, decorative caps at each end of the stones. The lining is new ivory colored silk with ruching of the same fabric. The design of this purse is similar to one on page 357 in MBP.

Floral Wreath with Standing Clasp

This beautiful floral purse with a flower garland in the center and is worked with micro fine, old glass beads. It has a tulip bottom with saw tooth pattern at the top and the bottom. It is the same on both sides. The tassel has a beaded bead and loop tassel. The restored lining is pink silk with a ruching trim. The filigree frame has enamelled flowers, stones and a standing clasp with a large turquoise stone. The chain is of round links.

Size: 14." x 7"
