Purse # 42 A spectacular metal beaded purse with clean, shinny, beads. The body features a stylised pedestal container with red checkered cloth draped across its top. The flower bouquet consists of purple flowers with red centers and leaves. 4 tassels hang from the table edge. The pedestal is butterfly-shaped and fancy. A geometric design borders the edges of purse body. This purse is the same on both sides. The 1.75" fringe is twisted strands of red and silver beads forming a "barber pole" design. The frame is gold toned with embossed ribbon design and there is a wreath dangle. The lining is red silk with multicolored antique rose ribbon trim. This is one of my favorite purses in the collection. Size: 10.5" x 6.75" Price: $800 Condition: We have examined this purse and to our best knowledge it is in excellent condition for a purse of this age. This purse is difficult to photograph showing the true beauty of the metal beads. See this purse on page 80 in Restoring and Collecting Antique Beaded Purses. This purse comes with a Certificate of Provence dated and signed by Evelyn Haertig's daughter.   Purse 124 This is a rare English, miniature half miser purse with a ring at the top. Metal bars lock it in place. It is worked with green crochet thread with silvercut steel beads worked into the crochet loops. The tassel at the bottom is of steel square and round beads. There is a short chain. Size: 4.5" x 2" Price: $325 Ordering Information Condition: We have examined this purse and to our best knoweledge it is in excellent condition for a purse of this age. This is a very good and rare piece.
