The body of this fabric purse is ultra deep violet with a delicate rose garland pattern with embedded leaf pattern. The lining is a wild blue and yellow lining with a ruching trim. The sweet celluloid frame has a charming pink bow and flower garlands, plunger clasp and celluloid chain.

Old Vintage Silk

The body of this pretty purse is made of old, vintage tissue silk with raised velvet flowers. The new lining is a dark, grey silk or rayon. The gold toned frame is embossed with flowers and a chain is attached to swans. There is a simple ring drop and the clasp is plunger type.

Sterling Silver with Gold Wash

This elegant purse is made of very soft red velvet. The frame is the outstanding part of this purse. You will find this frame on page 169 in More Beautiful Purses. Evelyn describes it this way:
Plate 101: "Heavy, wide, embossed, sterling frame with inner bar. Gold plated. Common European classical motif presently selling for several hundred dollars."

and on page 167:
"A gold wash was often given to sterling then termed 'vermeil' which causes confusion. Look for the sterling marks or words sterling silver."

Lining: fine pale yellow satin with French, silk, floral red trim.

Elegant Black Vintage

 This elegant black bag could easily be used to go to an evening affair. The body is of black, vintage fabric with an embossed scroll design and is gathered in scallops below the frame. The lining is of original vintage red fabric with gold thread trim and two pockets. The heavy frame may be silver or silver plated, with cherub figures in the center holding a basket of flowers and birds at each end. It is the same on both sides. The clasp is a kiss type and the chain is of flat medallions engraved with flowers linked by a round ring.

Elegant Enamelled Frame

The highlight of this rich, green velvet purse is its magnificent frame. The frame is gold toned which has been enamelled with an ivory and deep reddish enamel design. The drop is a salmon colored polished stone and the same stones are on the standing, tilt back clasp with a large rectangular stone on the front and 3 large 1/2 round stones on the top. Four faux pearls are at each end. The back of the clasp is the same pattern as the front on below the clasp. The restored lining is a light forest green, vintage, brushed, satin silk material.

Green & Peach Painted Flower Frame

This small black purse has a black moiré patterned fabric. The lining has been removed exposing a coarse inner lining which once had a pocket. The frame has an enamel painted design on one side, a decorative drop, no sew holes and decorative standing pieces for attaching the chain.
