Don Falcone starts a new, but unnamed space rock band. When Cleopatra
Records contacts the band to do a King Crimson cover for a tribute
album, the bassist and guitarist suggest resurrecting the name
"Spirits Burning."

Bay Area band Kameleon (with Don Falcone on bass and vocals)
changes its name to Spirits Burning. Don switches to keyboards,
and the band (composed of various line-ups) toils for 5 years
in Northern California's musicland. One highpoint for the band
is opening for Yo La Tengo.
