Day 3

Dear Diary,

So many things happened today.  SO MANY THINGS!   But the most important thing I will tell you.  I have decided what I will do with my life--what I was born to do!  I will be a HERO that helps all the animals that need me!  When there is trouble, I will be there!  I will help everybody and they will be very grateful and thank me very much!

I will tell you how it was I decided that I will be a hero, oh Diary.  I will tell you the WHOLE STORY.

It was because of my dream, oh Diary.  My wonderful dream about flying!  I was visiting with Faith in the house, and telling her all about my dream.  (She said that she had dreamed of flying, too, and how nice it was floating in the sky.)  We were watching TV together, but talking more than watching, oh Diary.  But then, I saw him!  The hero, flying and rescuing people on TV!  He had a red cape on and that is how he flew, his cape was MAGIC.  There were people stuck in a burning barn--not just people, either, a horse that looked like Sunny was there, too.  Just as they were ready to give up all hope, ZOOM!  The hero with the red cape flew right through the window and pulled them out of the barn!  Through the flames he flew and knocked down the burning door and everyone was safe.  They thanked him and tried to give him presents, but he said, "No, I rescued you because I am a Hero.  I do not take rewards."  Right away, right then, oh Diary, I knew that was what I would be--A HERO!

Faith has promised to sew me a red cape, but I do not know how to make it magic.  I must find out, because I must be able to fly if I am to be a TRUE HERO.

Oh Diary, so many other things happened today:  Sunny and I went to the pond and I saw tadpoles; I ate 5 plums, very juicy, good plums off the tree; I surprised Jemma by touching her on her back when she was busy sniffing the grass and didn't notice me, and she JUMPED!  HA!  She told Faith that I bit her, but I did not, I only touched her with my teeth.  What a BIG FAT LIAR Jemma is!

But that is not important, oh Diary.  I am to be a HERO with a RED CAPE, that is what is important.

But, I must find out how to make my cape MAGIC.  That is what I must do.

That is all.

Goodbye from Burrito
